You beat me to it. You can delete my thread if you wish. Just really sad news, I believe I reported his cancer some time back but sometimes you forget about these things with all the other crap in the world. It's a shame we forget.

Steve, he only found out about it the day after Christmas, he did not even make it a week. He had just turned 70

He had other maladies in the last couple years, I may have commented on them somewhere previously.

My dad was diagnosed with lung cancer the day after he retired, and he was gone two weeks before that Christmas in 2011.

What a true character and loss.

Dammit, Lemmy was a character. I will crank Ace of Spades on the WOPL and drink a cold one all while wearing a beat up cowboy hat. Rip Lemmy

RIP Lemmey
First became a fan of him when he was in Hawkwind.
A very talented player .
And a voice built for his material.
He will be missed .

Damn shame. Lem was one of a kind.

Have to wonder where music is going to go when all the giants are no longer around.

What happens when the acts that paved the way hang up their hats? I dont see many groups cutting ground, so to speak.

Heavy music lost a true pioneer.

Rock In Peace Lemmy.
