Radio Shack DB Meter Worth Using?

They seem to be going for $40-ish on the 'bay, which was about what they sold for back in the day, if memory serves. Anyone use one or is it just better to get the DIRAC software and mic?

Nonidea how they have aged but I did use one to verify I can belch at over 100 decibels at a gig one time.

We were not to exceed 100 at the desk, so I did the right thing and tested the equipment.
