Arrived !
This is my British mini system ! Great sound for a small room !
To connect a CD player it's necessary to insert a 10 dB att . ( mod by Quad )
Very easy to implement in a short male female cable ( 10 and 4,7 KOhm = 9,9 dB )
Ciao

Very nice. I had a few Quad components, but sold them because I was missing the proprietary interconnect cable between the amplifier and preamplifier.

Nando.

Some considerations :
- The preamp 33 permits to adjust the gain of phono and tape inputs
- DIN sockects probably were necessary to save space ; it was the first mini component.
( 5 pin for inputs and 4 pin for pre out for no mistakes )
- Hi filter has cut off and slope adjustable .
- The circuit of the power amp (303 ) has an unique circuit ( symmetrical triples )
- The tuner FM3 works perfectly ; it's full of coils !
My units are O.K ; normal service .
Adjusting the tuner arrow requires a great accuracy ,
due to the little size of display .
Ciao
Marco

I like the idea of adjustable gain on those inputs. Can get everything set to equal the line level, something I'd love to have because of the output of my Sony SACD player, which is higher than the remaining components. My new Pyxi phono preamp matches the input from my Astell & Kern pretty closely but that Sony puts out a bunch of signal, comparatively.
