Just thought I'd mention here that I own one and that it indeed works- on toroidial transformers that is. I think they pulled it from their lineup. It was unfortunately expensive at retail ($300) but if you had a humming transformer that nags you it does the trick. I don't understand all the tech behind it, but it is simple by design and apparently fixes zero-crossing errors in the AC line, which is not the same kind of issue that powerline filters address.

Toroidal hum is not that hard to fix, rotate it about its axis until the hum stops. The factory should have don e that before cutting wires to length. The hum will stop sometime during the 360 degree rotation. Has to do with the enclosure, the EMRI pattern and line in placement. But there is a place where those all cancel each other.
