Very nice, Robert! On the Pioneer RT-1020L, the reels jump out at you, don't they!

Gloss black is the cheapest and quickest to get done. Due to the companys biggest contracts are black and silvery gray/chrome .Other colors are available but may take quite a while unless your willing to pay extra for their changover time.

Hi Guys,

Those look nice..... A question I asked before; Did they powder coat the inside of the reels?

Thanks,
Robert Number II
Yes...The reels were disassembled. The 4 pieces were beadblasted on both sides, then P-coated on both sides.

Thanks for the info......

They do look great..Have you spooled them up yet. I was a kinda wondering about tape clearance. The dude that was spraying the coating went a little heavy on the coating.

Those are reely great looking! FF, I wouldn't think it'd be hard to design a set of stickers for the reels, you could even make some up in the font and logo style of the era your deck is from  that would look awesome.

I'm thinking about a set of purple or red ones for the black Fostex. :tongue4:

Stuwee in red is dancing with Lee, cheek to cheek,
There's nobody here, it's just Stu and Lee,
It's where stu wants to be,
But Stu hardly knows this fish fillet by his side,
He'll never forget the way The Salmon look tonight.

I think a pair ot bright blue semimetallic with an offset etching pattern and white with the same idea in black would be superb.

Whee, learn to type, me/

Well if we are dreaming. Gun metal gray metallic is nice. Always wanted a car that color just never got to the point of doing it. LOL

A pair looking like 26x2.125 whitewall cruiser bike wheels, legal with the wheel relectors! I got a few old 456 reels that would be great to do all of it.

I realize a good part of it it actually SCREENING and not coarting. A couple 7" reels for my Roberts and Akai would be neat an I may have two metal reels there as well.

JERRY: Please chage the composing window parameters to make either white or a variant of yellow standard color.

THIS RED MAKES IT HARD TO TYPE WITH VISION PROBLEMS. I'm tired of dragging the cursor out of the field to see. THAT'S why I look more like a drunk typing and must correct after the post more often.
