Possibly a PL in disguise?

While looking through some power amps I came across this Marantz unit. To me it looks like a re badged PL. Any thoughts?

That is an original Marantz 250. Back then almost all manufacturers had a model that had the aluminum panel and large VU meters. I think Phase Linear was the first to use that design.
