Would one of you gurus be so kind as to get me the dimensions of a PL 400 faceplate, including approximate thickness. Thanks in advance.

Going into production?
I wish! I have talked with Lee a couple of times about building some monoblocks out of a couple of chassis that he has which may need new face plates or are missing them completely(?). I was going to pimp them out a bit with some .250 thick copper face plate and nix the meters for this particular build. Maybe have something engraved on them as well, we shall see how the funds look after the amps are completed.

Get ready to open your wallet on 0.25 thick copper...

Very true, but I may have a friend in Denver with a piece at their machine shop that will fit the bill(fingers crossed) for a fair price. Could always cheat and get something a bit thinner and just cover the existing faceplates or ones that may need to be procured for this project.

Why do you say no meters?? One for each mono....in the middle, complete with White Oak light boards...

Seems about right. Not cheap, but will last forever along with the amps! Still leaning towards no meters and just smooth faces. We'll see when the time comes.

I kinda like the idea of polished brass with black silk-screened lettering, but thats just me. If you do it in chrome, it would have to use the LED graphs from a -II for a proper Cylon look.

then again, the same thing in brass could work too.

If you bi-amped, you could monitor bass and upper power levels independently....
