an oft-overlooked, unappreciated 130w/8ohm stereo powerhouse, stable down to 2ohm,
-which, according to some sources, actually measures out at 157w/8ohmRMS-
i've had my copy of this highly competent early PRO-LOGIC surround-capable receiver as heart of my system since 2003.
it has seen heavy, often daily usage since, and has yet to let me down in any way.
fairly unusual in it's inclusion of a MIDRANGE tone control in addition to the usual suspects,
this is a potent gem of a stereo amplifier, despite it's 3.1 OPL SURROUND pretensions.
.perhaps no equal to PIONEER's best 70's efforts, but surely among the very best they have produced since,
and quite possibly their very last honest effort in a stereo super-receiver to date...
