This AVR has been a Long Time Coming... Going All the way Back to my Early-Adulthood.
Right At the Turn of the Century, i Discovered that i had a Passion for Hi-Fi and A/V Gear. Pre-Internet (For Me Personally)
i Called Up PIONEER, YAMAHA and a couple others to Request Product Lineup Catalogs and whatever else they would Send me.
So Far as Browsing in store went; BEST BUY, CIRCUIT CITY and the like were the closest i could come to the Specialty Shops of Yore... until i discovered "QUICKSILVER AUDIO" in TRI-CITIES, WA.
It was There that i Came Across PIONEER ELITE Components in the Flesh for the First Time Ever; a Full ELITE A/V System was right there in the central Showroom Floor...
from a 60in. RPTV Monitor to this Very Same Model of A/V Receiver. it all left a Predictably-Strong Impression Upon Me.
I Was Quick to Learn that that Showroom System was indeed Amongst the Very Last Classic-ELITE-styled Componentry that PIONEER was to Offer.
Indeed; I WOULD Happen to Get in on things JUST as Major Downward Sea-Changes were Taking Place!!!!
Anyway; ALL these Years Late... and i can Finally Indulge Myself in every way that had so wished that i could have as a Young Adult!!!
(( While this Unit is so Gorgeous as to make me wish that i could use it in my Main System... i'd be a Fool to Displace my Superbly-Built and Powerful VSX-47TX For it's Sake... So it Serves, Beautifully, as my PC Sound Amplifier ))
