Finally got around to putting new pinch roller rubbers on my RT909:

Old rubber(left) and new rubber ring(right)

During

After

Once I was finally able to get the gummy roller rubber off(acetone, scrubbing pad and a utlity knife) the bearing assembly, it was quick work: boil water, soak new rubber ring in said boiled water, install on bearing, wait 24 hours before using.

Looks good but you are not telling us about the rubber ring you uses? Source, size and such?

Pretty cool, whats site did you use to get that new parts from, Doug?

Never would of thought to boil it before applying, learn something new everyday. I think i just saved the forum from a dumbass post with a title of "How the hell do I get this thing to fit??"

Good stuff.

I picked up a couple sets of these up from an eBay vendora few weeks back. When I asked if more would be offered, he replied that he would have to order a bunch of them and did not want to do it. Looks like Terry is still gonna be the go- to for this service unless we could contact Ivan's supplier.

Hammer, Mark. Always use a hammer.

You are lucky that your 909 tires had not melted into a blob of goo. My deck came with goo everywhere, what a mess!

Robert
Outside was getting sticky, but the inside was a total mess. Took me a while to get them clean.
