some new pics of my baby, the PIONEER STANDARD LINE variant of the more well-known ELITE LINE CT-91;
i recently picked up a copy of the CU-T011 remote unit,
originally supplied with the CT-M6R 6-cassette changer,
but very useful with the S800, as, with the deck connected to a PIONEER component
with a 6v remote trigger IN/OUT,
and IR sense/control capabilities, such as my VSX-D1S AV receiver, this remote can operate
the S800's TIME COUNTER/RESET display functions,
OPEN/CLOSE the motorized door, and operate ALL of the deck's
basic operations.
i just finished some tidying up inside,
cleaning up the wiring routing with black zip-ties,
and slipping ferrite cores over the AC line
directly inside the enclosure.
oh, and i also painted the top of the pressed-metal
enclosure that houses the INPUT LEVEL and L/R BAL. pots,
the box that those brass shafts terminate into,
flat black, as i think it looks better that way...
the Euro-market version of this deck, the CT-939, has a far more attractive cassette well door panel, IMHO;
-if there is some European tapehead out there
that can link me up with a way to get hold
of this door panel, please let me know...
