Pioneer CT-F9191 Cassette deck for sale. I will break it up for parts or you can buy the whole thing. Make an offer I can't refuse. Remember this thing is heavy, probably 25 pounds or so. It isn't the best in the cosmetics department and it needs more work than I want to do on it. Don't make me dump it in the Tulare landfill. :cyclops:

What do you mean a Tulare landfill? I lived out there Tulare is a landfill. LOL

DolbyS would probably want it. The bots are always in here so it should come up on a search.

That was a play on Des, taking apart a Teac RTR and tossing it cause no one wanted to pay the asking price for it.

You don't get my dry sense of humor do you? LOL I knew who you were talking about. That deck should go pretty fast. I'll contact DolbyS. Why are your pics so big? What all is wrong with the deck?

I don't think anyone would want to repair it. It need belts and an idler tire and the right channel doesn't seem to work. The meter bulb are burnt out and the output pot shaft is broken for the outer knob.

I bought it for parts a few years back when I bought three different CT-F9191's on ebay and all were subsequently smashed to bits by UPS in shipment. Can't really blame UPS though as all were packed very poorly. I did get my money refunded in the end for all three but it was a big hassle. This one suffered some minor damage to the wood case in shipping also. Apparently everyone thinks a 25 pound deck will be fine in a single wall box with newspaper wrapped around it.

Anyway the deck is free for the asking, I just want the postage to cover the shipment. If someone only wants parts I can take those off and ship them. Much cheaper to ship parts than the whole deck. I am guessing properly packed it would be about $30 for shipping via FED Ex. If someone needs the knobs, or the cassette cover or other parts I can remove them and ship them a lot cheaper than the whole unit.

I will have to start listing items for sale on the Phoenix website.

I would take it but my Yamaha K-1000 just bit the dust timing all those cassettes. It is a sad day in the Mellette household. I knew the motors were weak. Oh well will have to find some more. It is a great deck. Hope I have 100. LOL

I sized them to about 900 pixels wide or so to see if the server crashes. If anyone has dial-up oops. I am hosting them on my own space. Hopefully no one has to scroll side to side. I can make them smaller in the future or put in a thumbnail with a link to the large pics.

It is a direct drive. Hoping maybe they just got hot. Yea right. No such luck. I love that deck. It will get fixed. I like it almost as my Naks.

Can you explain the above a little better? How did YOU get an email if it was addressed to WP?

How about you PM me with the particulars? Thanks.

Yeah right... "peggy"...

If there's an issue to where emailing one persion results in the email going to someone else, I need to know about it. So... is there or is there not a problem?

(yes, all kidding and bullshitting aside for a minute... then we can get back to ribbing each other.. )

I dunno, I got a pm and an email from Orange from this site. All seems to be working fine from my perspective except for the delayed server response to mouse click activity. :reindeer:

Snails are hermaphoditic, like worms.

They have an advantage perhaps.

I don't know, but I'll see what it looks like again. Maybe it sends the send a copy like eBay does i.e. "member sent you a message etc."

I don't think I did anything to ask for a copy.

Good to know the email option actually worked.
