I have a Phase Linear 2000 PreAmp. When I bought it years ago I read that even then the combo volume control-on\off switch was unobtanium even then. I ran it off a switchable power strip for that reason. If I had it gone through and rebuilt is there anyway mount a separate on\off switch in the face and have it look like it was original? I guess the other option if it was feasible would be to mount an on\off switch in the back. Anyone know if this is possible? Thanks.

First of all I want to thank you for your very generous offer. But I guess I did not make my question very clear and I don't take things under false pretenses. My on\off volume switch still works fine but in order to save wear and tear on it from my reading on the subject around 15 years ago I put it on a power strip due to the fact from what I read they are somewhat fragile. If your offer still stands after reading this reply I will PM you and try to offer something in return that you could use. Thank you.

PM me your address there old guy...

OK. Could you give me about 10 more hours a day?? Is there a ceramic cap accross the leads of the switch?
And yes my offer still stands. The 2000 wasn't the only piece of gear with that setup, but the switch I send you is out of a 2000. I have quite a few PL parts....
