Walker, the driving force behind the six film franchise was a passenger in an apparently speeding Porsche Carrera GT when it struck a lamp post and burst into intense flames, killing both onboard. Both were en route to a benefit for Philippines typhoon victims.

During nearly 15 years the Fast and Furious film series was one of Universal Studios' most popular undertakings. Co-star and close friend Vin Diesel tweeted that he was basically 'speechless'.

Paul Walker was a relatively young 40 years old but Speed ignores age.

Sad but I could almost see something like this happening to one of the stars of that franchise. It is ironic though eh? RIP to a good actor and humanitarian
