They say that sometimes you find scores when you are least looking for and expecting them. I can now attest to the wisdom of that statement.

So I went out for a walk this evening to get in a little exercise but also to take in tonight sunset. I live in a semi rural area and so there are farm fields adjacent to my house. Many of my neighbors also walk these fields for exercise, take out the dogs, ride their quads, etc. Unfortunately there is also one spot that sometimes gets used for other things.

And I happened to pass by that spot tonight. Spotted this. And although I could've helped myself and carried them back the 3000 or so feet back to my house. And they were free, I passed.

It looks like you passed up on some California Redemption coin - maybe 50 cents worth.

I dislike the people that can't find a trash can for their rubbish.
 
I was afraid that I would need a tetanus and/or rabies shot if I were to touch anything in that pile.
 
Some trash is worth digging through but not that. A tetanus shot at a minimum would be required.
