Well after driving myself nuts all afternoon the 3RD M B L LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That may have been part of the problem . Anyway, the 2 PCB fuses were blown, the platter/laser assembly PCB was toast, and a thin , ten conductor "ribbon" had a couple breaks in it, AND it was intermittent, thats what drives a guy nuts.
