Let us have the debate about wires now. I know what Fast is going to say. LOL Now that some have tried the ICs. Do you think that speaker cables can make a difference? I know if you are use to buying Rat Shack ICs then you are going to have a hard time paying 80 - 100.00 for a pair of 1 meter ICs.

I can send a filer around if you want. It is on my tube set up. I run a trip outlet strip with it. I won't say it makes a difference in the sound. I just think they help the components themselves by keeping the voltage stable.

Let's see...

Recording center

Video tower

Audio tower

2-3 receivers/amps

surround processors or AV receiver

6-8 speakers in the living room mess

AV Pioneer
Laserdisc/5-CD changer
SuperBeta
VHS HiFi

Roberts 1630 RTR
Concord DBA-10 Dolby unit
EQ
Realistic 8-track recorder TR-884
Pioneer CT-3000
Optimus (Pioneer clone) dual deck

Four of my own Pioneer/Pioneer based brews and a Realistic 10 with GM car tweeter

I haven't mentioned yet that I scored a pair of Pioneer CS-A31 with a possible bad tweeter and I have the entire set of drivers for a pair, crossovers and controls already, and mine whether I trade or not, free otherwise. An old friend I ran into once again on Craiglist... :D

I had no CABINETS, that's all!

Wires are not in my discipline because I do not conform well. :evil4:

Can someone do a blind A/B test with some measuring equipment connected? Even a microphone and a distortion meter or a scope, maybe just a voltmeter, I don't care. The typical tests are too subjective to just get a seat of the pants "affirmation". Can I get an Amen?

I know of no mortal man who shells out more than $20 to replace a $1.50 cable and then does not "hear" a difference because he so desperately wants to know his money was not wasted, no it was put to good use, damn good use.

No one knows the price of the Taras; but me. They could be a 10.00 cable. So as far as buying them no one has yet. No one has asked the price and I haven't told them which Tara it is. So as I can see it. That is a blind test. These guys aren't the 1st to try them and voice their agreement that it did improve the sound. The last person bought a whole set.

Mark, there really is a difference, a good system shows it more than a mediocre one will. I've heard it myself, and goldears upstairs had no idea what I had done, only that it sounded better/.
