How do i soft start these Joe??

No, not form, soft start. That last 700 Ser I ibought has a soft start circuit in it, I may have to finally open it up.

I am not a big soft start fan Lee. They usually mess up the intended start up sequencing of the amp design.

So buck up and add some amperage to the breaker eh?? At what point in delay does it mess with the startup?? Any and all?

Usually amps act up at about half the intended supply voltage when the op amp voltages are not yet locked into final regulation voltage. Once you cross this point the amp settles out fine. Up to that point you will find that offset moves around quite a bit. The power supply symmetry on the Rev C board helps with proper sequencing more than the stock PL board or the Rev A board however.

So, in adapting the Rev "C" board to the +/- 115 volt rail voltage to support the MJE 15032 drivrers and the MJL4218 outputs what components in the regulated section need to be changed? The TIP31's to 50's?

Also, there are 2 more secondary windings in these monster toroids, would 12 or 24 volts satisfy the other trick up your sleeve??

Measure the resistance from one hand to the other. If I remember right it isn't even 1 ohm. Path of least resistance. Aircraft AC is 400hz. Let it grab you one time. It will light up your life. Igniters and strobes have to be unhooked for hours before you touch them 10,000 volts and more.

I have had my world rocked a few times. Usually when it happens you get that tingly feeling in your knees like your going to pee your pants. Time to take a long brake and give thanks you aren't dead. Been hit by coils on cars that the only way you got away was the points opening and closing or your yelling turn it off.

Every time I have gotten hit by it I can tell you. None was very much fun for me. The people around me got a good laugh. I wasn't even smiling at all.

1 more for the road. If you load a transformer. Make sure the fields are collapsed. If it is just sitting there in an open circuit it will still have a charge. Seen an instructor get it. It knocked him back a few feet. We LOBO off. I asked if he shorted out his hearing aids. LOL I have a grave respect for it.

Lee and I have both been bitten by the big monster - 440V; I was on a Navy ship, Lee was inside a switchboard in the field. It feels like you have been hit between the shoulder blades by a baseball bat swung by a major leaguer. The worst part (if you're still alive) is the next day when every muscle you own feels like it is caught in a vise and your head aches like an elephant is sitting on it. I had the added bonus of a flash burn in my eyes so bad I could not see for a day and then it felt like someone poured beach sand in my open eyes.

So much better to melt a meter than watch your fingers turn to ash (saw that one).

Was in the same field as a guy that grabbed hot 4160, his arm literally was blown off at the shoulder, didn't die of bleedout as his heart did not pump another lick after that. All because the hot was run in at the bottom of a disconnect and not the top. Since then I take NOTHING FOR GRANTED in the field.
