It seems like the news is awfully mum, and the big storm that was expected to hit Philly was EXTREMELY DOWNGRADED to a few INCHES.

SO! How many of you are ass deep in snow and praying to the sun god?

I'm not trying to be too facetious but I haven't seen breaking news reports on TV and hardly anyone has updated website reports in less than three hours.

Over 24" here, this is real in MA. Lots of big drifting and snow coming down at a very fast rate. Very cold to boot.

It missed the mid Atlantic but it is pounding New England.

We have about 2ft on the ground right now and way more in drifted areas. Supposed to snow until late afternoon still. No point in trying to snowblow now

Well, Of Course I saw this by morning but at some point it seemed as if it might exit stage right in the Ocean.

And Ron, the LPs and laserdiscs arrived today. Wicked nice stuff!

Just heard some climate kook on the radio, over lunch, blaming this big storm on climate change.

IMHO, people are way too oversensitive every time mother nature does her thing. Blizzard of '15, bull sh!t !

I blame the whole thing on the Summer of Love ...

Wind is still whipping the snow around, have to snowblow again tomorrow when the wind dies down and then do the roofs

People down this way were having a shit fit about it. I got so much snow here that in spots I can't see my grass through it. They put all of NJ into a state of emergency yesterday, and cancelled school for most of the state and northern Delaware as well. They didn't cancel the travel ban until sunrise, and schools were not open. I realize that some places got actual snow, but the panic and over-reaction to this is baffling. It used to be that school wasn't called until there was actually a reasonable amount of snow on the ground, enough to make roads dangerous and such. Now they call it for threat of weather. Same with the state of emergency. There had to actually BE an emergency.

I wish it had missed us...
Second that...

If New York had not been prepared for the worst, we would have had to bear 5 days of news about some conspiracy about the plow drivers being told not to plow streets where people that did not vote for Comrade Diblasio...about as bad as Deflategate trivia.

I agree with them. while you cannot blame this particular storm on global warming, when the globe warms the odds are there will be more severe storms. Not saying man has anything to do with it as the earth has been warming and cooling on it's own for billions of years.

They were smoking stuff and listening to Jefferson Airplane...it's their younger cousins that got all butthurt and made the brilliant babies of 1978-90...

Its not entirely or even mostly the younger generation that is causing the current state of retardation. At this point its their parents. They are the ones running the show and screwing the people my age (born in '81) for their future. To be fair though, my generation has more than its share of useless people as well. I'd still land much of that on their parents though.

Hey, I was 15, into Grace and Mickey in JS and not getting drunk nor laid. You need to blame them Furry Nerds from Califragilistic.
