Haven't heard them in awhile. Awhile back I was searching for some. Now I'm looking for a power conditioner that isn't ugly I can afford. Don't know what I will do with them. LOL

Yes, I love the sound of my Nikko systems. I have an Alpha 400 amp and Beta 400 pre and they are some of the best sounding pieces of equipment that I own.

I have a Nikko 600 system so the 400 doesn't get much use. The 400 set was a new in the box set that I bought in the mid 1990's.

I only have one Tuner the Gamma 400 and one Tape Deck The D700 though.

The alpha ii is one of the earlier amps and it was really nice sounding. Was truly dual-mono with 2 transformers and analog meters. Loved it. Replaced it with Nak separates, also long gone after my first divorce.

Welp I procured these things you funny people. You should never let gear like this go for 150.00 - 200.00. You nuts? Web you want to sell the amp? About to try the adjustable ohms on the Phono side. I have to move every thing to put the pre beside the TT. Haven't turned anything in the house on for long. Than bending over gets kinda old very quickly. LOL Well back I go. LOL Listening to "The Worst Of Jefferson Airplane" It sounds pretty good. The Gem Dandy works. Very few pops. Still getting lint.

I would have liked at least the preamp, I have an FAM-450 tuner but I haven't got a lot of money to spend everywhere. I'm glad you sold them PB.

There is a market value. Then there are friends prices...

Want a really nice sounding match? Go for a Alpha II. It's dual mono and has a sweet sound.

Oh. I'll get SOME preamp eventually. Just apparently not a Carver C-4000?
I find different pre's from time to time.
I'll keep an eye out. Shops these days have less deals due to all the ebaying.

Someone GAVE me an Adcom GFP-750 after a job I did. Sold it during a money issue years ago. Boy what a mistake that turned out to be. The Nak CA5 was really nice too.
