Nice looking Pl700II on Ebay

I was looking at that last night. Do all series two's say '700B' on the transformer?

I have not seen that on Series II 700s but you never know. I tend to think someone replaced that tranny at a later date looking at the serial number

I don't know about the xfmr. Here is the label from my first one. Purchased new by me. Around 1980.

It may be they used them on early models.

Believe mine has 700 b on the transformer also. Pity the guy etched the face plate! IDIOT!:tard:

I have several 700 series ll with 700b labels on the transforme as this has. Bobs company was cheap and used up old stock on the first units till exhausting supply's. So is an original series two unit

They don't use SSNs for that, at least not around HERE, and in Oregon you vote by mail with security envelopes and signatures verified. Maybe if you get a driver's license with a fake identity, they will qualify you at DMV.

It was a joke Steven...

So he was either really buying a SSN or a drivers license number with a very heavy tag attached. Very sly deception.

Well; I have a thing for VU meters & already got a sweet looking 700b for peanuts from Lee. A small bag of peanuts considering all the extra goodies thrown in!
Otherwise I may have jumped on this. It's very difficult for me to pass up bargains . I might go for an original 700 next. Even though the faceplate looks like an after thought.
I want a mini PL museum!! I even have that CD player in my cart & a few PL8000 turntables that look just like Pioneers. Heellllllp meeeeeeeeeee.
