You managed to snag another Yamaha cassette deck, Larry. Your Yamaha collection almost smothers my Pioneer collection. Does this one come with the wired remote control? Not that it matters much performance-wise, just that factory remotes are becoming hard to find.

I have a wired remote I got with another deck. So I'm good there. They said this one works we shall see.

Well for certain ones the prices are going up. So I haven't a clue.

Hi Larry,

It could be supply and demand..... There is no supply as you must have them all by now!!! :) I have been watching locally for a Yamaha deck for about a year now and have yet to see one show up, go figure.

Plus people are watching the Naks go crazy in price. The Yamahas are a very nice alternative. The same guy had a 1200 go for 135.00. It had a remote. I picked the K1000 with remote and box for maybe 50.00 last year.

If they say it works and it doesn't. I'm not scared to tell them about it. So far I have gotten that on 2 of them. So they were free.

I'm recording now. So we shall see.

This one records and erases. LOL The auto tuning freaked me out. It is cool though. Now to hook it up in the system. See how it sounds.

Larry

PS You are probably correct on not using controls. LOL

Are you going to buy it Larry? I really want to see and hear a working Yamaha, but am beginning to think they do NOT exist. If it stays low, I may bid, but I'm so afraid of the Yamaha name being on a cassette deck now, I don't know what to do.. How many do you have that I have sent you? Is it three of four now?

Listening to a K 2000 at the moment. Put the Hafler in the system and using another TL ICs. I have no hiss and using no NR. Who wanted the 1020 that doesn't work? Some Ritchie. He can play.
