My little Dell is starting to have issues. I'm going to use it for daqarta and the rockbox. This is what I got. Wish the HD was 7200 rpm or solid state. Will deal with that in the future. Had to go through Fingerhut so I can make payments. Got a cooling pad also with 4 usb slots. Well here is the link give me your opinion.

Once I figured out the specific issues with mine I've had few problems. Don't rely on Dell to find it's inner child. It was sorta chance that I found it and it took me a while but it's my only computer for the moment.

I've been impressed with HP lately...For a top tier computer company, their customer service has been great. I got a virus through an upgrade to Norton Internet Security....fooled me, but an HP rep signed on to my computer remotely, wiped out the virus, loaded Microsoft Essentials on my laptop, and called back several days later to se if it was still acting "cured". He later called and tried to sell me another computer, but other than that, I was impressed. If you want "just a puter", can't go wrong with GearXS...they sell off lease computer for way cheap, and Tiger Direct is another place that has great pricing on decent boxes. I recently bought a Gateway FX desktop which is loaded for bear, and have loved it. I think Acer, Gateway, eMachines, and maybe other brands are now all owned and produced by the same company. Great prices for very good computers, I just think service might be an issue.

I agree that Dell has gone downhill, but my office continues to buy them..I have been buying either from WallyWorld on Black Friday, or from GearXS or Tiger Direct, all with no problems at all.

I've been meaning to get the EVO going, and I can but I've just kept at getting the house cleared and ready for winter. I've slowly gotten around to copying stuf from the old one. This Dell is sufficing okay for now.

I have to say. This a Cadillac compared to my old one and the one in the office. This thing kicks butt. I hate loading a new computer though.

Have to find some downloads. Credit is good. It has some things I must get use to. I also got a cooling pad with 4 USB ports. Pretty cheap.

Heheh.. that's sort of like... driving up to your house in your car, and then saying "oh wow man... I think that's my house... It COULD be my house, but .. like.. I don't see my car in front of it."

true story, ayup...
