New 700b/4000 owner

Hi,

I bought a 700b "700w rms" last week and it is stock (with only PS cap. 22000µf and rectifiers upgrade).
The power transistors are XPL609 and RCA.

I think that they are stock.

What is the best output transistors 609 or MJ15004 ?

It was with a 4000 for repair (in bad condition), but after 2 days of works, it looks new (1 lever knob is missed) :-/.
I'm in France, I must to replace the transformer in 220V to repair it...

Specs for PL 4000 transformer :
-secondary 28 V
-power 25 W
-ac fuse 0.125 A ( for 230 Vac )

MJ21196 is needed, not MJ15004.

Our good friend Alain Limas in Paris at Atlantic Audio Vintage is a repair expert in your area for Phase Linear.

Your original output transistors are XPL909...
 
Welcome double six to Phoenix! Don't worry about your English - we'll figure it out. There are some great upgrades available for your 700B amplifier.
 
Living proof the French have class, they love the PL stuff!!
