Robert: There are lots of vintage audio deals to find on our local CL. I almost purchased a pair of Pioneer HPM-200 speakers on CL a few months back. The ad sat on CL for a very long time. What dissuaded me from buying the pair was one supertweeter was dead, the grilles were missing, and the cabinets were refinished in a non-factory colour stain. I spoke to Gordon at IA about them and he thought the same of passing on the deal.

On my last visit to IA in October, Gordon had an offer from a customer to buy his pair of Pioneer HPM-150s for an astounding $3500. Gordon asked me whether I would be interested in selling mine. I said "No", and he agreed fully. It's tough to find a decent pair.

Would have made nice garage speakers though, while polishing up the Buick:happy4:
