I have a few of these. I like this deck better than the 682ZX. The electronics are older. Good luck. With Phoenix metal running at 1/2 speed, you can listen to 3 hours of music on one c-90.

Went for 108.00 I was no where near that high. On auctions I always bid low unless I'm being mean and running up the bid. Scratch that I have never played how high will you go. LOL

That was a good price. I consider the 680 a better deck than the 682, for a number of reasons. I like the manual record azimuth...less stuff to fail. I like that there are no orange cap failures, and, I like the political reality that Philips sued Nak to force them to discontinue selling 1/2 speed decks.

Really? Because they wanted to sell more tape?
I believe that had to be the reason. Philips had no problem with all the double-speed machines. Nak's half speed would have been a killer feature in a Dragon!
