It is marked Micro. The dude I bought if from said it is a MA 505. It isn't because it is a straight arm. I have looked many times and have not found it. It isn't in the manual either. Here it is. Please someone have the answer.

Google is your friend, or if not so it's the drunk next door you wish they'd haul off...

I've seen cheap plastic TTs that mimic that design so that's my advice...

Yepper buddy. I remember the old days. You would look at one site. The next thing you know you are closing 30 windows which did more popups when you went to close them. LOL

Speakerman, in the first photo, it seems like there is a logo on the top of the headshell, or is that the name of the arm? I see it says "Micro" on the plinth, but does the arm go with the plinth, or are they separate items? From the looks of the arm, I'm suspecting it has a knife bearing for the vertical movement.

It does say Micro. I have looked for a long time. Yes it does have knife edges. Micro used a few different manu. for their arms. There is a German Micro site. I can't remember if it translated. It has been ever since I bought this table looking for it. LOL Thanks though. It is so far the only arm from micro using knife edges.

Well. I found the manual. It's stock for that table.

Specifications

Drive system: Belt drive with FG servo controlled DC motor
Speeds: 33.33 and 45rpm
Speed variable range: +-3%
Wow and flutter: 0.025% wrms
Signal to noise ratio: better than 75dB
Platter weight: 2.65kg
Platter material: Cast aluminium
Tonearm: Static balance with interchangeable pipe system. Knife edge style vertical bearing system made of stainless steel

Effective length: 222mm
Overhang: 15mm
Usable cartridge range: 4-9g
VTF adjustment: 0-2g direct reading

On the straight stock tube, the stock weight works for carts 4-9g you can add the SW-10XA weight for heavier carts 10-14.5g

On the optional "s" arm tube, (combined stock weight and headshell) cart compatability is 12.5-20g
Then the SW-10XA weight will make it set for 20-27g
The SW-10XB is for old Ortophon SPU series MC carts, premounted with heavy Zn headshell. 27-32g

Looks IDENTICAL to whats in the manual, maybe it's a special arm associated with the table?

Best I can do at the moment.

Joe

I have the manual. It came with the TT. You very seldom see them for sale. I don't think vinyl engine has it listed unless it is the curved arm. Who knows. LOL
