I found a way to make it easier and faster to change out a WOA board. I timed myself and I can install a board in 2 minutes (or so). I used a hot glue gun after the wires were in place and dressed. I could have done the same with black lacing but I wanted to play with hot glue.

Nice idea Mark, it keeps them strain relieved too to prevent any unintended breakage back at the origin point.

Just a Hair Off

While inside the PL400 the other day, I found this whisker that might have been responsible for an intermittent crackling sound on the Right channel due to Q15 shutting down as the base momentarily shorts to the collector. How do these things happen?

Easily and all to often. The 700 is now exhibiting extreme distortion on the left channel. Gotta be a front end problem as that would explain the severe buzz when i plug in the RCA interconnects...
