So I am working on my original 700 series one today. It is nice clean machine that I have had since new in 72. I bought it to replace the first one I had that was stolen then.

After at lot lot of wasted time I have it running with D.C. Offset Bering between 0 and +/- 12 mv. It is constantly moving as per the shots attached. The big issue was D.C. Offset was about 10 volts when I tried to bring it up on the veric. After checking for voltage st verily points it subddenly dropped to about 100mv. From there I got it into range. The bias is still high on left channel at .470v. There are power resistors that are needing replacing as they are off by 20-30% and probably fix that issue.

So so I had a spare board and no parts and put in the machine. Well that was a waste of time as I could not get balanced bias. So put the first one back in.

Now or if you have read this far you know I want to keep it stock. But after watching the rail voltage all day at 108 volts on 118 main voltage I am questioning my choice. Maybe it needs the full conversation.

So so do I keep it stock and rebuild the control board or go WO Quassi or full comp.

lets as hear from the peanut gallery on this one

Man....I want a couple of those voltmeters!!!

DC offset will always be variable with those, too many pots, too much back and forth.....

One more thing this seams to latch up on startup and pins left by meter for a few military seconds then go back to zero.
