There is just something about it that isn't the same as burning a CD. I don't know what it is. I haven't made a tape in a long time. It is a good way to test. You can hear before and after what is coming out of the component. You don't have to have a Nak Dragon ; but it may help. LOL So come on try it you may like it. I use to sit for hours making tapes. It isn't about the male ego of my schlong is bigger. It is more about the finesse of picking the music and doing it. Wanted to do some more so I think I will adjourn to the sound room. LOL Just think about it. I have never heard of someone being made fun of.

Try Turning Vinyl into a CD. Bloody lot easier and quicker just to tape it :)

Although I don't record to open-reel as often as I do to cassette when making a mix tape, I can guarantee you'll be startled by the results. Here's an example of switching between the source and the recorded material through my dbx 400X Route Selector. I won't tell you which button is the source and which is the recorded material. You pick the one you like best: either when I engage the left or right button. I recorded with my Pioneer RT-707 from CD and LP in the following tracks. This reel was made for a friend in an open-reel tape swap.
