Multiple angles of approach in this USA Today coverage ...

Terrible plane crash. Heard about it on the news today, while listening to the radio, but this is the first footage I've seen.

Nando.

I heard that the left engine may have failed or the propeller wasn't feathering right. I also heard that if they had gone hard on the rudder, etc maybe they could have recovered but it went really fast before the whole thing was just too far gone. Damned lucky for the person with the dashcam and the driver ahead as the tail and it looked like part of the wing just bit it as it came down, could have easily torn up on the road itself but for the speed.

I'm wondering if the pilots didn't try to put all their effort into the other engine instead...some information about the crew will likely be forthcoming and telling.

Usually there are stories like this BEFORE i fly off on vacation, not AFTER...

Never did like flying. Haven't flown in quite awhile and don't mind if I never fly again. Everything I care to see or do is driveable, at least I'm at the wheel...something about being in control.

Amen, not that I'm a control freak..............

What is it with Asia Pacific airlines lately?
