Is there any real difference between these? Are they phasing MJ21195G type out?

No. the 95 is the PNP complement to the 21196..

As the 15025 is the complement to the 15024.
The 21195/96 are dedicated audio parts, the 15024/25's arent.

21195/96 are dedicated audio, that's what I was looking for. On the 21195/96 spec sheet its listed Total Harmonic Distortion Characterized but that is not on 15024/25 spec sheet. Both can be used for audio. I wasn't clear, I get the complement aspect. Thanks

95/96 have the best SOA of the ONSemi fleet. The 93/94 have similar specs to the 95/96 but lower SOA capability.

The 95/96 devices are king of the hill.

Didn't Phase Linear use the 15024/25 in their fully comp amplifiers?

So to poke the bear. I believe the new runs of mj15024/25 are rebranded 95/96’s and are identical. If you look at new pricing they are also identical on most sites. I got get some and cut them open to see. Spec for both attached

A rumor I heard:
The first PL amps used the same NPNs that GM used in their electronic ignitions.

I have a stock 400 8 finner I bought brand new in the mid 70's that I used when I used to DJ. I still have it and it is 100% all original with the xpl909's. It still plays just as good as the day I bought it
GET A PROTECTION RELAY FOR THAT THING! NOW!

GET A PROTECTION RELAY FOR T MJ4XX THING! NOW!

I can help with that.

By todays standards, The DTS 411 is inferior. In the early 70's it was the best available. BTW, I believe the Motorola MJ413 were close equivalents to the DTS. And, yes the SOA at 100 VDC is at the edge of the cliff.

My Marlboro Flavor Country(tm) edition 4 fin was all original and had all its XPLs. I got $400 for that bomb……
