I found a pair of the older ones. I know in the 70s I liked Advents. Has anyone heard these? If so how much would you pay? I looked on ebay. I can get them alot cheaper than there.

only thing I can tell ya buddy, is they can be pretty sweet, although you have to remember they are old and might need work, I love my AR 4x's...the small 2-ways, one tweeter is out, and it's major surgery to fix, keep that in mind with a sealed box from an East-Coast manufacture. Some of my buddies Love the small Advents stacked, I think this has something to do with the load it put on the vintage receivers of the time...Me being of the load the amp down to get the best from it school of thought.

My downfall, speaker/amp interaction is where the tonality, musicallity lies, a nice two-way, like the Epos respondes to some amp interaction no??

To go farther, using the Celestion's in tandem with the AR 4x's, I've had some visitors drool, big time, unreal bass from Roy Allison, then the titanium tweeter from the Celestion's. They say things like, rich...liquid...Boom!! Bam!!, then when it lays back, Nice!! Maybe the SAE Pre/Poweramp have a say, I just love my 'love lounge' bedroom system.... :bigsmurf:
