Guys, If I swapped this old idler out with another old one, would I run some risk on uneven wear on the shaft/bearing?

I wouldn't think so unless the replacement idler is off center or unbalanced or possibly a different diameter.

Well I guess if its the same and the same fit, best I can do is make sure it's very clean and well lubricated.

Exact match! As it turns out, the idler tire from the other table was in like NOS condition. The brass speed changer on it was also in very fine condition. I cleaned the rubber and swapped these parts over. The brass has tiny ribs hard to see by eye, which were fully worn off the 33rpm on the old one. Also, the hard rubber had worn a light trench in the old inner platter. Swapped the platters over too.

Most of the rumble is gone, the speed is good, and there doesn't seem to be a slow down on changing records.

Woohoo!
