The reason I'm asking is I'm getting 7 or more in different states of repair. I know they are made in Germany. They were branded Onix over here. So I was just wondering.

Yes the CD-1 onix is a MBL 1431. I don't think I can fail on this deal. It is a lot of stuff pretty cheap.

Hi Larry,
You have to be careful with stuff like that as you never know to what extent that you will have to go to repair them for a return. Some common made equipment can be fixed pretty easy due to common made parts but what happens if there are custom made ASICs in the unit that are only available from them and if they are $500 a piece or not available at all?
I would do one and see where you end up and then if that evaluates well then you can jump in with both hands. If they were easy to fix, chances are someone would have jumped on it already- but that is a guess.
I am willing to help time permitting. If they are 50 cents a piece then at least you can get them for parts.

Hi Sam

No not 50 cent each; but from what I have read I'm not to scared. The real reason he never sold them is no one ever asked him. Some times you are in the right place at the right time. Believe Sam right now I'm a little scared. I have so much happening. I don't know what to do. The little bit of space that I made getting rid of stuff even isn't half of what I need. The first of next year is drawing close and I have a lot of orders coming Trust me I'm not laughing. The 3 days I worked standing up doing those tapes about killed my back.

I just got a list of cassette supplies and shells that a company wants me to buy. I already committed to 11,000 C-0s. So I'm getting a little bigger than I thought. These are deals I can't pass up. I just have to do my wheeling and dealing and set my priorities.

I mean they cost me 1/4 of what I'm paying from others. So that raises my profit margin. So I'm thinking every morning I get up. Do I want to do this?

Last year at this time I didn't think I would be writing an email like this. I never thought I would be wondering where I'm going to put tape loaders. I thought the supply side would be larger not the tape side of the business. Never thought I would be buying 1000s of shells at a time. Or 100.000 ft of tape.
