My only remaining working deck has just started to 'warble', not really wow and flutter, more of a warble if that makes sense? I tried a couple different tapes and it did the same thing, then just as suddenly it stopped doing it, My guess is the belt is stretching out, I wonder if Larry has had this happen with his Lux? I have another one for parts but that belt is shot on it. Crap, no more tapes :angryfire: , God wants me to listen to CDs on the ONIX I guess :cyclops:

I'm still not on top of the other issues with that other crap, I guess I need to break into it for a looksie. I've never changed a belt before...I'm a scared

Sounds maybe like a pinch roller problem and the tape is shifting across the head and not tracking straight. I'd clean the tape path and head thoroughly along with the pinch roller or rollers.

Aaaah, that makes more sense, now I've forgotten what to clean the rubber pinch rollers with :? , I know you don't use alcohol, but what?
