I have a Luxman 350 solid state pre that I bought last winter and have replaced all the electrolytics with audio grade Nichicon caps. I also refinished the cabinet, which had water stains all over it. Sounds nice, but I have yet to put it to use with my upgraded speakers.
Has anyone here had one, or have some experience with it to discuss? The reason I'm curious is that I recently upgraded to some nice speakers, Dahlquist DQ-10's, and was stunned to hear the difference over my old Boston A-200's. So now, I'm fully bitten by the audio bug again, and I want to finally, in my retirement when I can afford to do it right, fulfill my lifelong desire for a really nice system.
I'm in the process of tricking out one of my PL 400 amps, and by this time next week we should know if I'm going to need to go to a WOPL'ed PL 700B. The impulsive perfectionist in me is already whetting my appetite for one. I'm pretty sure it's not a matter of if, but when I go for it.
So is the Luxman 350 a good pre to get started with on this wonderful journey?
