I want to just say that I'm actually glad I have limited speaker placement options. Have you ever moved them over and over never being satisfied? You can move them to enhance one recording, while another recording might not sound as good. If a double bass sounds like a double bass and not like a kids car, that's a real good start. To toe in or not to toe in, that's the question. When vocals don't fatigue, that's the answer ( at least for me).

I think I,ve found the sweet spot for my speakers ,,I think if your ears don,t get fatiguied you found the right set-up

From someone (me  ) who's had some of the worse speakers you could ever have to deal with placement wise ( the Logan's ), I know what you mean, but if you have to you can always mark the floor with tape for say double bass and vocals and just move them there for that listening session :sign7: :smilebox: :sign7:

I had some Magnepans. Once upon a time....

But anyway, place for bass then just toe in or out for vocals I find is the easiest, while keeping the speakers ahead of the rack if only a little. If you keep your bass under good control, I feel that it isn't detrimental to vocals but rather beneficial to the tonality of vocals. Focusing for vocals is often over done and can stand out as a pre-requisite for quality, but you can do that with even the worst speakers out there.

My K-Horns have a sweet spot and I can barely be there as my room is too skinny for how long it is, BUT when your pushiong the SPL's they are it sounds really good next door too!!

With those you could put them out side and listen to them inside!

I always thought fondly of klipsch, and the dynamic contrast they have. I've heard many and sold a few in my day. Although they aren't my go- to choice, I was dumb founded at the house of the guy I bought my TT from. He had a mess everywhere but had the TT hooked up to a secondary rig with some heresys on stands. I was really surprised how beautiful they sounded, like I've never heard. I grabbed the TT immediately and also found that the TT sounded amazing at my home. however, those heresys would fit my room likely better then what I have now.

I had 2 pair of Heresies and they complimented the K-Horns nicely, seemed to add some mid-bass I thought was missing. I then upgraded the drivers and crossovers and have since given the Heresies to my son Kaleb and nephew Michael. When done right they(the K's) are simply amazing, the bass response makes a sub redundant.
