English actress Judy Carne has died from pneumonia at the age of 76. Her death on September 3rd was initially thought to be a hoax.

Carne was married to Burt Reynolds from 1963 to 1965. She had addiction issues for some time after Laugh-In, which she recounted in her autobiography.

But Americans tend to remember her best as the Sock-It-To-Me Girl, usually the victim of a pratfall after uttering the phrase. Even presidential candidate Richard Nixon uttered this phrase once in a famous example.
