Existing port from when there was an E-V coaxial long before I got it.

A midrange Sansui horn goes above it as soon as I jigsaw. The midranges are only 10 watts and for now I have them away from the woofer to make as best use of them as I can.

All I have after that is two Heppner horns and there aren't all that powerful compared to the Magnavox horns. Those are for 3-way bookshelves amd maybe 60 watts total.

Speaking of those, Univoxes do impress me and they eventually were absorbed into Korg, but 6 in the model Kurt Cobain liked is silly when Marshall was possibly co-owned at the same time it was made.

I had a c.1978 Yamaha PA horn pair in the house a few years ago to check out and sell for a friend and maybe if I'd had a good crossover to try it in a two-way...but at least I hade my Sansui SAX-200 and it's multiple taps to closely match the impedence.

For somewhere around 70 watts though I should be okay. My Altec Corona woofers in the Model Threes tell me to stop at 45 and adjust. Those I'm not going to lose now, once was enough.

I had the woofer line switched  I noticed that the terminal strip on the woofer was broken in two so I need to fix that.

I've got the MILs apt spot marked for intalling the Sansui S-3000-2 squawker miderange and then it's crossover and fill time.

I sold one to vinyldavid to fix one of his quad. I saved the other for a single speaker or I'll get another. They were 4??? and he got such a great deal but then the one dead tweeter.

I still had to cut on the tweeter holes of my Altec Model Three cabinets but not as much using the Jensen domes.

My horn section. My brother built the boxes from 3/4" MDF and we painted them with truck bed liner, the stuff is awesome. JBL M115 woofer and 2370A horn in front of a JBL 2426J 1" driver. I used a JBL 3110 crossover for an 800 Hz transition. The woofer screens were the latest addition. I would have cried if the vacuum cleaner punched a hole in one of those pristine cones...

Actually, they are quite musical. I was expecting thumps but the JBL crossover is pure magic. They certainly don't make them like that any more. I have cranked the Hafler 220 into them at full volume (115 Watts into each cabinet) and there is no breakup in the bottom end and no buzzing in the horn, just loud, loud, loud. I kinda like it.

You're my knida guy. The K-Horns get a wee bit loud at 200-300 RMS too!!

I'll get back on this...Patty Hearst kidnapped me and wouldn't even liberate me.

Two cut boards and ready for drilling and jigsawing...[attachment=0:1kiosaqo]07022011c.JPG[/attachment:1kiosaqo]
