I almost bought one of them at a pawn shop a month ago or so. They wanted $79 for it. :) I thought the top was marble though.

Somebody on AK once reported the sad story of doofus shipping that destroyed theirs!

Hire security guards to make sure it's packed right if you get one online! :druid:

They weigh like 40 lbs. From what I read a good TT. You might want to go back and see it it is there.

Larry

I checked again last week and it was gone. Seems other people know bout TT also. Probably an ebay flipper.

I never heard of them. I found it by accident. There is no resonance through the base. The motor is suppose to be dead on. I am watching. See what happens in the next few days. Found a Black Widow tonearm also. It has gone crazy. I'll post the link. If anyone here is going to bid on either of these please tell me.

PM Sent. :cyclops: It looked to be complete KD-2055 with dust cover, but I didn't really inspect it any further. Stop by on your lunch and take a gander.

FF I think this one is the belt drive little brother of the link I listed above. I didn't think it was any great bargain, but definitely cheaper than on ebay.

IIRC, those Kenwood plinths are a special cast resin, very dense, just like concrete. Best to buy if you stumble on one locally, I wouldn't trust myself even to ship one properly

Good luck on finding a nice BlackWidow arm, they don't show up often for good reason, they're schweet! Watch Audiogon, someone may upgrade to something better and put one up for sale.

The Kenwood plinths have resin, limestone, and crushed rock powder. I'm not buying any. They are going for good prices. The one has a Grace tonearm. The Black widow is at 400.00 with 12 hrs to go..
