Heya! I'm a college student who does repairs on random thrifted electronics out of his dorm - I like getting my hands dirty and pulling things apart when I get the chance. I don't have a ton of space, but that doesn't stop me (it does annoy my roommate but she tolerates me). I'm just happy to be here and I hope it helps if I ever need it lol

Welcome Aboard Voidicguardian,
Nice to see some younger people coming in. I always kept my mechanics toolbox in my dorm room back in the day (50 years ago !!!!). I was not a fast typist, so I would rebuild carburetors, install shocks, do tune-ups for fellow students who needed that work done, in exchange for typing my term papers. A lot has changed since then. This hobby/passion/obsession was burning very bright back then in me and continues to this day.
Welcome aboard! Have fun, lot's to learn.

i sold plasma as often as twice a week....repaired the bowling machines 44 hours per week ...night shift....in the rec area ....went to classes in the day...
in order to finish at LSU....1972
started in the summer of 67...a pilot program where one could go to college courses between the junior and senior in high school....
my first tuition for that summer was 45 bucks...at lsu alexandria
the regular term tuition was 60 bucks....
went my last year to main campus...a bit more...
but was able to make it debt free....
a lot has changed...to say the least...

Sellin blood...that's dedicated...
plasma....they removed two pints....centrafuged the blood....seperated the red cells from the plasma...
mixed the red cells with salt water and put it back....kept the plasma for the ambulances...
you could feel the cold rush....and i swear...taste the salt....when they reinstalled the red cells...
thats why you could do it up to twice a week depending on how much they needed...
one night we found 300+ soda bottles in a dumpster....
sold them...ten cents each...
lolololol

Ohh...you were tasting the salt all right. When I'd do a big blast of methamphetamine HCL, before I could get the needle out of my arm i'd get hit full on in the tongue area with that dope taste.....

I always snorted, get the dope “taste” down the back of my throat. I never had the nerve to inject, my brother was an addict for as long as I knew, and that was a threshold I didn’t want to cross. Funny that I didn’t balk at subcutaneous injection of insulin. Different context, I guess…

My preference was hallucinogens and weed anyway…

Someone I knew related how he and some friends created injectable solutions from food items to experience the taste sensation. He made particular mention of chocolate cake.
