My favorite band period upon reflection, Rocka Rolla up to Screaming with Vengence were my teenage staples

Thought I would share some of my collection, you should see all the open stuff I have LMAO

All the below sealed. NONE of these are 180gr reissues or the new two lp versions. All are Gull, Passport, RCA, or Columbia original issues except for Notradamus which came like this in first press deluxe editions. l sent away for the concert ticket while it was still available making the Nostradamus a truly complete set

If anyone has a sealed copy of Turbo, please contact me. I am sort of already working at another set with a few dupes. That is not two Hell Bent For Leather's. One is a UK Killing Machine

That's quite a collection of sealed JP LPs.

I've got a good number, but all open, and don't get to listen to them much. They're not on the ole lady's "banned" list, but she does like to make fun of me for it. I have a "banned" list too- we have a give and take that way. She listens to her banned stuff when I'm not around and vice-versa. Love that girl, but some of her music preferences...

I've got that white vinyl Tyrant/ Rockarolla. Don't see that one around much.

Hey Zach, great to hear from a fellow Priest fan. I have the Tyrant in black and white vinyl open. The sealed one is black vinyl which for some reason seemed much harder to find. I think it was an error as all were supposed to be white, the black versions are few and far between

Rocka Rolla I have on orange vinyl as well, Killing Machine (Hell Bent for Leather) on red vinyl, both are UK versions. I also have the French white vinyl version of Rocka Rolla. I have quite a wild collection, glad I started on it when the stuff was easier to find

I will try to post the rest of the collection here tomorrow but man, shoot an snap and show us what ya got!

We must discuss this banned list LMAO!!!

I can dig some Priest. Dont have a mondo collection or anything. Only have Screaming, Hero, British Steel, and Sad Wings. Someone had given me a copy of Hellbent but one side was mangled so I got rid of it.

Here's a pretty rare UK 3lp boxset featuring the middle era releases of Priest when they were still a heavy prog band verging on the Metal Gods they were to become. I believe this set was issued in 1979???

The first cassette I ever bought (with nickels, dimes and quarters, literally) was Screaming when it came out. British Steel and Unleashed.... were staples around the house when I was in single digits. I dug Defenders a lot but then Turbo hit and it was all over. Tried Painkiller but it just was not JP to me.

I remember being out on a gravel road in smoking with some friends when my buddy put Rocka Rolla on the deck. I had never heard it and was blown away. Ran out and grabbed the CD as soon as I could get to the city. It's the other cover. I got my "bottle cap" covers when I started buying vinyl again.

I was never lucky enough to see them back in the day due to living in Alaska and being a bit to young (I was 10 when I bought the new release Screaming....) I did see Halford open for Maiden on the Brave New World tour. It was a killer show all the way around.

All that being said, I'm in your corner when it comes to Priest!

I had the spikes n leather man, went well with the Iron Maiden T, jeans and mocc's... 'nuff said

:headbang: <--btw this dude looks like a punk rocker, but it's all we got.

Man I would have loved to see them recently on that Nostradamus tour. That album was pretty decent for one of the more recent releases. And Rob still has the voice, after all these years...

I have a few Judas Priest albums, but not many. One of my favourite songs of the band is "Turbo Lover." I phoned in a request to Rock 101, a local rock FM radio station, one summer afternoon. While on the air, the DJ asked why that song. I said I had a Turbo Buick and I had just wasted a Lotus on Pacific Avenue. Not too smart on my behalf, but who cares. I had just starting dating Geri and she was with me in the GN for that ride. She sorta likes that side of me.

Well, there's no paper list or anything. It's really more a question of styles.

She hates Bop, Hard Bop, Jazz/ Rock Fusion...pretty much anything that "spirals out." She says she hates Jazz, but I keep explaining that that's like saying "I hate shoes." There's just too many kinds. I point out the ones she likes and get eye rolls. "That's not jazz"...women.

Lots of other stuff that a lot of ladies might find objectionable is fine. "Regular" rock, punk, classic metal (Sabbath, BOC, etc.) Heavy metal, Some Prog, blues, etc are fine.

What she likes that I can't stand is mostly "They Might Be Giants." There are others, but not many.

It works for us, and I get to jam anything that's not on the list pretty much as loud as I want as often as I want...So, it's cool.

Less so now that we're on the same schedule- I used to get an hour before work when she wasn't here, and she on the flip side. Break out the Jeff Beck!

Oh well, there's lots we agree on, and now that we have a Pin*Bot in the den, we've been jammin a fair bit.

Queen Killers Live might be the ultimate pinball album, although Tres Hombres is in heavy rotation right now too.

I'm open to suggestions here...Please don't say Tommy.

Another Priest fan here. A lot of head banging to their tunes growing up. Not so much now, but have several albums for the times when I'm in the mood.

RSD Screaming, orig Screaming, both versions of Evening Star which is actually clear vinyl meant to be displayed over band photo, Gull and Milan versions of Best of, Gull version has Sad Wings of Destiny (Angel in Hell) cover on backside. Milan version has the same backcover as the original Best of release
