I have a few 40 lb receivers in need of repairs though and a messed up back. I am happy with my mid 70s Technics SL-13xx models and other old but fun crap :D

Man this guy can hoard with the best of them...hard to believe he can do much with the clutter in his shop area.

Hey now, that's what Marlins shop looks like, just on a grander scale..
Looks like the tonearm has a lot of mass. Wonder where the sweet spot, depends on the cart I suppose...

Yeah the stylus has to drag that mass across the rail guide...no servo assist.

I watched that and the other of his horn speaker array upstairs.

It is quite interesting regarding the room treatment- he basically gutted the house and rebuilt it to sound good. Tons of great info in that video. Apparently the BQE runs right in front of his house and you can’t hear it...
