I need an idler tire to fit on a wheel with a 19mm OD and 2mm width. The original tire is 23mm OD, just under 19mm ID, just under 2mm cross-section, and exactly 2mm wall.
I wonder if square-profile o-rings might do the trick. I have found 18mm ID x 2.0mm square profile o-rings at mcmastercarr.com.... not sure if the rubber compound will give me long life and zero slippage, but I suppose it can't hurt to try.
Yeah, it originated on tapeheads, but I find that there are a lot of really knowledgeable guys on phxaudiotape. You guys come up with unexpected solutions and really know your stuff!
