I Just Can't Believe This

Well I bought a cheap Yamaha K-950 the other day. Bought a manual and belts. Well I just got the manual today and was looking at it. I said something is missing. Went into the garage to look at the deck. Yes there is something missing. I'm missing the whole capstan motor, mount and wiring. LMAO Really I'm not laughing at all. Everything I have touched lately has turned to crap.

What type of deck are you looking for? Yamaha only?

I think I nearly 2 dozen parts/repair decks as it is. It won't be DOA.

Gotcha, pretty crappy someone would sell a less than complete one without mentioning it. Although most people even if they took the covers off wouldn't even notice any missing parts.

I know I didn't notice it untill I looked at the SM. LOL Was a little bit of a shock trying to figure out where the belts went. Oh well. It is a nice deck wifh a wooden case and siver face. I have the 960 here with a channel out. After spending money to have it serviced. Played it very little.

More than likely someone took it apart to change out the belts and lost the parts somewhere along the way.

Use one to fix the other. 960 is the followup to 950 I seem to gather but with dbx. Maybe they share a part or two.

I think I'm going to give Sam some business after the 1st of the year. I have to many broken Yammies. Would like to add a 2000 to my stable.
