Broken beyond repair but highly affable

I went over it on the phone with a Roland employee and they basicaly said it could time but not make a sound and it woould cost $$$$ for a synth dude to go over.

I can either get some guidance to go over it or send it to somebody here for basic troubleshooting and maybe a repair. I don't care so much if it's ugly as long as it's got cowbell. I have to be the luckiest man alive to even have a broken 808 for only twenty five cents and saved it from going in a dumpster.

If I had a couple or three hundred buck then SURE I'd just get a Groovebox (MC-303 or 505) but these things are listed at over 3000 dollars in some auctions, whether they get it or not and broken still pull far more than a grand and what was good for Vince Clarke is awesome for me anyway.

Thank you, and if we can save Phase Linears, we can give my drum machine the clap again.
