I have been hunting for a system I saw in the early 80s

It was small, but it sounded good. The pieces were like 1/2 the size of a regular piece of gear. Just looking and listening. It was very good. No I can't remeber the name. Help me. I'll send you a cookie.

I could have sworn it was Nak. I haven't been able to find them. It was right by the Nak RT deck. This was a highend store that you just went to hang out and listen to their gear.

Yeah, nak made 'em too. I had a guy out in orange county va that had one he was trying to get rid of. Thing is - I tried the preamp out and it was noisy as all-getout.

Sanyo made one, so did Toshiba, the Toshiba one is highly sought after and rarely comes up for sale.

The Sanyo one was a mini Plus Series that Jerry and I know all too well as to it's great SQ :ugeek:

Larry: Was it a Mitsubishi mini system? I passed on one of these at our mini flea market because there were a few special interconnect cables missing.

There was a tuner, cassette deck, preamplifier, and this amplifier:

I didn't see the matching system speakers, however.

Nando.

Nak had a mini system but it was wretched Chinese construction. I've heard 2 different Soundspace systems and they are actually ok! The Mits mini system was a Cadillac quality package.

Toshiba made some wonderful micro systems in the early 1980's also. I'll dig up some pics when I have a chance.
