Broken beyond repair but highly affable
The KMEO AM-FM card I pictured in an avatar was inside the log book. The lineup on the back includes KTAR which firmly places it as a Phoenix, AZ area radio guide, with obvious emphasis on 74 AM and 97 FM KMEO listed side by side .

I got a service manual as all the antenna wires are off and I needed to see where they go and why it's loose in the cabinet to start with.

It's a Royal 7000-1 Transoceanic and a discombobulated beauty! Transistorized, which off the top of my memory receives at least 6 bands including AM BCB and FM.

Look at the front panel and what do I need? :knob: A few...

Having an unblemished log/guidebook is a very nice touch indeed!

The Royal 7000 is one of the final series in the Transoceanic line and represents the absolute "zenith" in analog performance multiband radios.7000-1.jpg[/attachment:rw0lkdw0]battery compartment.jpg[/attachment:rw0lkdw0]inside the battery door ID.JPG[/attachment:rw0lkdw0]Chassis loose.jpg[/attachment:rw0lkdw0]Not much in the knob dept.jpg[/attachment:rw0lkdw0]Wires loose.jpg[/attachment:rw0lkdw0]Not all wires loose.jpg[/attachment:rw0lkdw0]The wonderful untouched log booklet!.jpg[/attachment:rw0lkdw0]More log pages.jpg[/attachment:rw0lkdw0]More log pages (FM).jpg[/attachment:rw0lkdw0]More log pages (Gale storm warning).jpg[/attachment:rw0lkdw0]More log pages (Time stations).jpg[/attachment:rw0lkdw0]Phoenix native! Gee, guys. I only spent $7.70.

That's just awesome Steve, my Gramps had one, I told Mom I wanted it, but she forgot and sold it at the estate sale, but I got the Pilot tubed console so I'm happy :brilsmurf:

I remember listening to all kinds of cool stuff on it as a kid, and it had a funny smell when it was on for awhile. I think most of the early transitored stuff had that same smell :cyclops:

Get grab for $8, that booklet is worth about $100 to a collector

Stuwee, your sort of predicament was the main reason I started finding tube sets. My great grandmother had a multi-band Firestone Air Chief table set I wanted badly but when she passed my aunt got it and what's more never cared to put it in running. Later on I bought a Silvertone 4589 from about 1937 that had no coil and a frozen chassis. I finally located one and sold homemade calendars to my friends that fall-winter to get it, I did that for the next 4-5 years until the demand fell and the price of gas didn't make it worthwhile to lug them about to karaoke anymore.

I have the chance to better document it and my other tube sets after I spaend the weekend utilizing my new shed...

It will be here this morning!
