Hey everyone!! My name is Holly (aka KeepTryin) and I am a female college student from the Southeastern United States. My screenname is from a song named "Keep Tryin" by Utada Hikaru, the song is about pressing on and keep trying at life so I use it for alot of my screennames on forums. I really really love music and am just getting into buying some nice equipment. I collect vinyls and that format is my favorite audio format by far. I am here mainly to learn and take in all the knowledge. Take care!

Welcome Holly. It's good to have another member who has an appreciation for vinyl... and there's plenty, if not all of us, who have a vinyl collection. A used starter system to play your records should come in at less than $1K. Do college students have that much cash set aside these days?

Welcome KeepTryin! I'm new here also. I think you'll enjoy this site as it is intimate and has a good core group. I think you'll find it very supporting but you will have to post now and again.

One of these days I'll post something related to audio myself.

Have fun!

Don't ask about your 2 Live Crew cassette problem but we all want to save the Public Enemy ones. That's my only restriction.

My tennite trim is messed up, you see.

PS Sylvester, Roger and Zapp, Lakeside and Gap Band are worth it too. A mind is a terrible thing to deprive of funk.

Hey guys, thanks so much for the warm welcome! Cash wise I am pretty strapped at the moment :/ but I did buy some new headphones last week which really helped to bring my vinyl listening times to a new level. :) thanks for all the suggestions! I did hear there was a good group of guys here from Stuwie... hehe I might not be around these coming weeks cause I'm going out of the country but when I get back I am going to start trying to post some.

So where about's are you headed?

My wife, myself and another couple are traveling to Italy for almost a month. We're excited about the trip but unfortunately the group is expecting me to speak the language. I lived there for almost three years but that had been well over thirty years ago - but I think the language will come back, at least sort of.

Have fun and don't forget to post when you're back.

No way!!!!

I started reading it in Italian and was struggling with the text when I realized there was an english version within a keystroke.

This guy has the bug and some serious coin to back it up.

I think Holly will like that a thread on this forum can meander all over the place and no one cops an attitude about it being off topic (other forums give you the smack down). I observe that most of the time the thread ends up back on topic.

Enjoy your travels Holly...

Makes good reading. If you don't read you may miss something.
